Glues And Adhesives

Whatever DIY project you are working on, having the right adhesive for the job is critical. It's not only about ensuring that the two materials bond together, but also that they stay bonded.

Our range of adhesives and glues are all designed with specific uses in mind, which can also affect cure time. This includes some that only work on certain materials, while also being more resilient to temperature changes and variable humidity levels.

For Instant Bonds

Some adhesives take longer to dry or cure, so when you're looking for something that bonds almost instantly, stick with our contact adhesives. They work on a wide range of materials, and although better suited to bonding large, flat surfaces, they can be used for smaller projects too. They also hold up under extreme conditions. Selleys Fix&Go Kwik Grip, Kwik Grip Horizontal, Kwik Grip Vertical, and Kwik Grip Waterbased are all heat resistant up to 130°C.

For Super Strength

For load-bearing repairs, our range of Araldite epoxy adhesives are able to support weights of up to 150kg. They dry clear, making them suitable for use on a wide range of surfaces and materials.

Flooring

Whether you're working with strip and parquet flooring, or engineered strip and sheet timber flooring, Selleys has an adhesive for you. Each is designed for easy spreading, fast curing, and high bond strength. When bonding to concrete, you should use Selleys Liquid Nails VBS Vapour Barrier first, to prevent the transmission of moisture vapour from the concrete to the timber floor.

Woodworking

Although many of our adhesives are suitable for bonding wood and other materials, we do also offer a range of wood glues suitable for any woodworking project. Selleys Aquadhere Exterior not only bonds stronger than most woods, but it is also weatherproof and doesn't stain timber. Selleys Aquadhere Durabond is a solvent free adhesive suitable for bonding wood to almost any other material, and is heat resistant up to 140°C.
